January 23 - 29
I know how important it is to have routine and structure to help one feel calm - we have not had either this month! Hopefully, we are back on track and will get back to a normal routine. Reading and Math have been a bit chopped up in our earning with the off days but we do what we can. In all the chaos, we finished up division and have actually been working back in addition and subtraction and reviewing how to round and estimate.

In Reading we are back on track - this week we are learning all about the solar system and space. Such a fascinating, fun topic for dreary January.
We are working with subtraction skills this week and estimating, rounding and practicing mental math.

Library is on Thursday and if students have books at home, they need to return them so they can get new ones. My class is required to always have a library book on their desk.
